Commissioning is the process of achieving, verifying and documenting the performance of a process system and its ability to meet the operational needs of the process. Alternage provides quality teams for commissioning and start-up of projects in conjunction with our technology licensors.

We verify that the system performs within the design capabilities, as well as meets the design documentation and functional criteria specified.

Once the system is commissioned, the plant’s operations personnel receive an orientation of the commissioning plans, pre-functional test checklists, and functional test procedures. Alternage commissioning engineers perform the following tasks:

➤  Perform periodic project site visits and generate reports regarding observations, issues, etc.

➤  Assist in the creation of project schedules, specifications, and system descriptions

➤  Participate in start-up of equipment.

➤  Perform pre-functional and functional tests.

➤  Help identify construction and/or design problems.

➤  Assist with plant operations systems training.
